My Black Friday Shopping Adventure!

I am so excited about this deal that I got for this purse that I just had to share it with you. So I decided to venture out with the shopping masses this morning for some Black Friday shopping. I only had a couple of things I really wanted to get for sure - one doorbuster and a purse to hold all my things (one that zips or clasps so my 2-year old stops taking things out of it). So, I arrived at Meijer at 5 AM and luckily was able to get the doorbuster I wanted for my daughters' Christmas gift. I was surprised at how packed the parking lot was at that time of day. Then, I went to the Children's Place to exchange a pair of jeans and ended up getting a few more pairs because I couldn't pass them up at $7.50 a pair with the additional 25% off!

Lastly, I stopped by the mall to redeem a $10 doorbuster coupon at Carson Pirie Scott. I really thought I would be able to find a purse that was not part of the exclusions. Boy, did it take me a while because only a few in the price range I wanted was not part of the exclusions on the coupon. So, I picked up the purse in the picture and thought it was going to be $30, but lo and behold when I got to the cash register, it rang up for $6.99! The suggested retail price of this purse is $85.00! It's a Liz Claiborne. Needless to say, this was my best deal of my shopping adventure. Even though I didn't use the $10 doorbuster coupon on this purse, I was still able to find a boy's shirt that is originally $24.99 for only $4.99 with the coupon. While I was in line, I saw someone with the Crock Pot doorbuster for $19.97, so I went back and bought one of those also. One of my goals in 2010 is to cook more and this Crock Pot will definitely be a big help!
