Starting April 16th through April 25th, the State of Illinois will have the Illinois ENERGY STAR® Appliance Rebate Program.
This program provides incentives for Illinois consumers to replace older appliances with specific residential ENERGY STAR qualified appliances, water heaters, and HVAC equipment. The new appliances must be purchased in Illinois through participating retail stores or contractors.
Illinois' program will be rolled out in two phases:
• Water heater rebates are no longer available. Heating and cooling equipment rebates are no longer available.
• Point of purchase rebates on ENERGY STAR qualified clothes washers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers and room air conditioners will be available for items purchased from participating retailers during April 16 – 25, 2010, or when funds expire.
You can find out more specific information on the rebate programs here.
