I posted the original message a few weeks ago. I just received an update from KFC stating that this program has already raised more than $3.03 million dollars!!! If you did not see this a few weeks ago, please keep reading and help out if you wish. This program runs through May 23rd, so there is still time to Pay It Forward.
Right now all of us can help try to make the largest single donation to end breast cancer forever.
KFC is joining the fight against breast cancer with a national "Buckets for the Cure" campaign, aimed at educating more women and men about breast health, generating support for the cause and attempting to make the single largest donation in the history of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Through May 23rd, KFC will be dedicating special pink buckets to Komen for the Cure, with KFC restaurant operators having donated 50 cents for each pink bucket purchased by the operator before May 9th.
KFC fans and supporters can find out more about the program by visiting bucketsforthecure.com. At the site, you can read stories about people whose lives have been affected by the disease, upload your own story and even make a donation to support breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs.
Check out this You Tube video showing a Louisville KFC restaurant being painted pink. And the Colonel's suit has been changed temporarily from white to pink, that's how committed KFC is to this very worthwhile and urgent cause.
Thanks My Springfield Mommy!
