Kohl's has a wonderful way to help your favorite school win $500,000 for various projects. Visit Kohl's Facebook page, allow the request for permission for the app, and then search for the school you would like to vote for (either by school name, city/state, or zip code). You are allowed to cast 20 votes per Facebook account with a limit of 5 votes for each school. Kohl's will award $500,000 each to 20 schools. You have until September 3rd to vote. Make sure to share this with your friends and family so they can cast their votes also! You can also submit an idea for how your school could use the $500,000. If they are selected, there has to be at least one idea submitted for the school. What a great way to pay it forward since education is such an important thing and many schools could definitely use the help!

Thanks for posting this. I grew up in Chicago but I live in las vegas. We have been hit hard by the economy and cut backs. I'm trying so hard to get votes for my son's school. He goes to a public elementary. And with the local cutbacks we could use these funds. We are currently in the top 25 schools but we are finding it hard to complete with the Jewish Hebrew. The private Hebrew schools are pulling each other up to the top and knocking all the public schools out of the running. Which is great for them but leaves any schools that are not Hebrew out of the running. If any of your readers could log in and give us a vote (or 5 votes!), it could maybe help us a lot. I hope you don't mind me asking. Our school is "Robert L. Forbuss Elementary School" located in Las vegas. YOu can go to www.voteforbuss.com and vote for Forbuss in las vegas.
ReplyDeleteThanks for such a great blog!
