Like the premise of the movie, “Mars Needs Moms,” what do I think my kids would miss most about me if I were abducted by aliens:
10) How I do the grocery shopping so that they have enough food to eat. Case in point, we were well-stocked for the blizzard earlier this month.
9) That I do the laundry for them and make sure they have enough clean clothes.
8) The fact that I love to read with them (and make the sound effects to go with it).
7) That I like to meet their friends and be involved in their classrooms.
6) That I remember what their favorite things are and appreciate them.
5) That I like to make every day an adventure for them – even if it’s just doing the normal every day things.
4) That I will sing and dance with them at any given moment.
3) That I laugh at their jokes and find them so funny. They are my best form of entertainment.
2) That I think they are all smart, kind, and wonderful kids and that I encourage them to make a difference in this world.
1) That I have a special thing I tell each of them before they go to sleep, before I drop them off at school, and whenever I have to go somewhere, like a meeting, where I can’t take them with me. It’s a special something that lets them know that no matter if we are not together, I am still with them, and they are still with me.
So, we’d love to know – what do you think your kids would miss the most about you if you were abducted by aliens? Please leave a comment.
