One of Maria's other roles is as the Share America International Exchange Overall French Program Coordinator. We are looking for families and individuals who would be interested in hosting a French high school student for 3 weeks this Summer as part of an overseas exchange program. There are dates available in June, July, and August and the main areas we are looking for are within the Naperville/Aurora/Oswego, IL area and Homer Glen and surrounding areas.We have found that aside from the French students learning more about the American way of life, their host families make a life-long friend in them and learn more about the French culture!
Information about the program:
- Students speak English, are insured and have their own spending money.
- We plan 2 trips a week for the students. (Host families are welcome, but are not required to attend.)
- You provide a warm and loving home, meals, a bed (not necessarily in a private room) and a window to the American way of life!
- It is not necessary to have a teen in the family; singles, families with young children and seniors also benefit as host families!
